Come Straight Home opened its door in March 2007. I am presently the only woman to own and operate a sober
house for women in St. Paul, Minnesota. I have been involved in every process of opening this house for women transitioning
from treatment back into the community. My background is in Social Services and Nursing, which have taught me well, I use that
knowledge everyday. Also, I believe women in recovery need to find something they can be passionate about along with a solid
12 step program. I encourage women to sew, knit, make jewelry, garden, take yoga classes or whatever they feel passionate
about. I am also a woman in recovery and have experienced the healing power of creativity through many different creative
outlets.
